On January 7, 2009, several Natural Gas Vehicle Technology Forum (NGVTF) members and other natural gas vehicle stakeholders participated in a briefing at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) on the Pickens Plan. The meeting was intended to inform the DOE of the activities that are ongoing related to natural gas as a transportation fuel and set off future discussions and work related to the development of the natural gas vehicle market.
