Idling Reduction Requirement - Chicago
Diesel-powered motor vehicles may only idle for up to three minutes during any 60-minute period, except when the temperature is less than 32 degrees Fahrenheit and greater than 80 degrees Fahrenheit; exceptions apply. (Reference Municipal Code of Chicago 9-80-095)
