Advanced Biofuel Production Payments

Through the Bioenergy Program for Advanced Biofuels (Section 9005), eligible producers of advanced biofuels, or fuels derived from renewable biomass other than corn kernel starch, may receive payments to support expanded production of advanced biofuels. Payment amounts will depend on the quantity and duration of production by the eligible producer; the net nonrenewable energy content of the advanced biofuel, if sufficient data is available; the number of producers participating in the program; and the amount of funds available. No more than 5% of the funds will be made available to eligible producers with an annual refining capacity of more than 150,000,000 gallons of advanced biofuel. For more information, see the Bioenergy Program for Advanced Biofuels website and contact the appropriate State Rural Development Office. (Reference 7 U.S. Code 8105)
