Abstract

Station cars are the first market niche for electric vehicles (EVs) that will be operated by the general public. They are battery-powered cars used by transit riders to and from transit stations. Station cars convert convenient mass transit station-to-station service into ultra-convenient door-to-door service. This fact sheet provides information on the market for station cars.
