Abstract | Neighborhood electric vehicles (NEVs) are designed for low-speed, local trips in neighborhoods and urban areas, to run errands, commute to and from work or school, and to make small, local deliveries. NEVs are ideal candidates for a "shared-car use" or station car demonstration. The goal of this effort is to demonstrate how community layout and land use can maximize transportation efficiency through vehicle and technology choices. |
