Abstract

This 217-page report by the UK DfT Cleaner Vehicles Task Force discusses and analyzes the benefits of alternative fuels across a range of measures, including cost effectiveness and environmental benefits. It focuses on seven fuel technology options with emissions-reducing potential, and discusses technical, economic and social barriers that inhibit their introduction. It considers technical, infrastructural, operational, environmental and economic issues surrounding each option, and includes 12 case studies.
