Section 772 of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 modified the incentives for dual-fuel alternative fuel vehicles (AFVs) by extending the current CAFE (corporate average fuel economy) credits for dual-fuel AFVs through 2010. It also authorized the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to consider extending the incentives through 2014.
