Light-Duty Vehicles
A variety of light-duty vehicles are available. Search for light-duty HEVs, PHEVs, and EVs. FuelEconomy.gov maintains a list of vehicles still under development and their release dates.
Heavy-Duty Vehicles
A variety of medium- and heavy-duty HEVs, PHEVs, and EVs are available. Use the Heavy-Duty Vehicle Search to look for medium- and heavy-duty EVs or the following medium- and heavy-duty HEVs:
Neighborhood Electric Vehicles
Neighborhood electric vehicles (NEVs), also called low-speed vehicles, are a type of EV with range and speed limitations. NEVs are commonly used for neighborhood commuting, light hauling, and delivery. A variety of companies are manufacturing these small vehicles. NEVs are typically limited to use on roads with speed limits up to 35 miles per hour, making them ideal for college campuses and similar applications. Some smaller models are designed for personal mobility in cities, office parks, and research campuses. Several NEVs are available. Search for low-speed NEVs.
