Greater Baton Rouge Clean Cities Coalition
Clean Cities Coordinator
Lauren L. Stuart has a background in economic development and is currently studying for a Master's degree in Information Systems and Decision Sciences from Louisiana State University (LSU). Stuart initially began her role as coordinator of the Greater Baton Rouge Clean Cities Coalition (GRBCCC) on a part-time basis while maintaining her position as a research associate working with the LSU Center for Energy Studies. She has research experience as a contributor to the Louisiana state Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventory project.
In addition to work modeling mobile source emissions, identifying fuel consumption levels, and surveying alternative energy industry trends, Stuart has gained significant experience in transportation and air quality issues. She spent a year as an intern with the Capitol Region Planning Commission and also participated with the Baton Rouge Clean Air Coalition. Additionally, her independent research regarding campus road-closures was selected for presentation at the International Energy Economics Association 2009 global conference in San Francisco and was published in the Fall 2011 Journal of Transportation Planning and Technology.
As Executive Director and Program Coordinator for the GBRCCC, Stuart has organized the annual Clean Fuels Symposium every April, led a regional Electric Vehicle feasibility study and facilitated the installation of Electric Vehicle charging station on the LSU campus. She is available to give presentations about GBRCCC or alternative fuels at the request of stakeholder organizations.
