Chicago Area Clean Cities Coalition

Samantha Bingham is an Environmental Policy Analysis for the City of Chicago and has served as the coordinator for the Chicago Clean Cities coalition since 2006. Samantha manages several of the city's air quality improvement programs, coordinates responses to grant solicitations, and through analytical support and subject-matter knowledge assists in developing city policies and ordinances. In her role as a Clean Cities coordinator, Samantha encourages local fleets to use alternative fuels, alternative fuel vehicles, and clean vehicle technologies to reduce petroleum dependence and improve air quality.

Since assuming her coordinator role, Bingham has helped organize over 50 coalition events and meetings, contributed to the development of neighborhood electric vehicle and idling reduction ordinances in the city of Chicago, and assisted coalition stakeholders in securing over $19 million in grant funding.

Bingham has a bachelor's in public affairs from Indiana University's School of Public Affairs and Environmental Management.
