Honolulu Clean Cities Coalition

Robert Primiano has been the Clean Cities Coordinator for the Honolulu Clean Cities Coalition since 2001. Over the past eight years, Primiano has coordinated the coalition's participation in many educational and promotional events in Honolulu. He is an executive board member of the local APWA chapter and heads the fleet division for Honolulu's municipal fleet of over 2,300 vehicles and equipment.

Since becoming the coordinator for the Honolulu coalition, he has steered the City & County of Honolulu towards the use of B20 in its fleet and created the city's Fleet Greening plan.

Upon completion of his education at the University of Hawaii, he has spent the past 30 years involved with management, procurement and maintenance of major local fleets.

Margaret Larson is the co-coordinator of the Honolulu Clean Cities coalition, and also the vehicle specialist for the Hawaii State Energy Office. Margaret co-chairs the Hawaii Clean Energy Initiative's transportation working group, focused on establishing a sustainable alternative-fuel strategy to help reduce Hawaii's dependence on imported oil within the transportation sector. She also currently manages the Transportation Energy Diversification Program-working to transform Hawaii's transportation sector to become less dependent on liquid petroleum fuels by accelerating the adoption of electric drive vehicles and related charging equipment in Hawaii.

Prior to joining the Hawaii State Energy Office, Margaret worked in San Francisco, California at the United Kingdom government's international business development agency, UK Trade and Investment, as a Business Development Associate, focusing on Renewable Energy and Clean Technology. She holds a bachelor's in Journalism from Humboldt State University.
