The Hawaii legislature meets annually from mid-January to early May. If the governor receives the bill 10 days before adjournment, the governor only has 10 days to sign or veto the legislation. If the governor receives the bill within 10 days of final adjournment, then the governor has 45 days after adjournment to sign or veto the legislation.
