Legislative Session Information

The New Mexico Legislature meets from mid-January to mid-March in odd numbered years, and from mid-January to mid-February in even numbered years. The governor must act upon legislation within three days of transmittal or it automatically becomes law without signature. The governor must act upon legislation transmitted during the last three days of the session within 20 days of session adjournment or it is automatically vetoed.
